In politics, the question may be small, but the story hidden behind it is very big. The MLC election of Patna Graduate constituency has created a similar political twist within JDU. Anant Singh, who had once openly opened a front against Neeraj Kumar, now reached the important meeting of the party and after the meeting was over, did not speak a single word in front of the media. Now various types of discussions have started in Patna politics regarding this silence.

The story starts with Mokama assembly elections. At that time a statement of MLC Neeraj Kumar was much discussed. He had said, “Disaster is written on the surface of Mokama.” Not only this, Neeraj Kumar had also raised questions on giving JDU ticket to Anant Singh. While in the party, he had even talked about distancing himself from the support of Mokama MLA on moral grounds. The rhetoric had heated up the political atmosphere and the distance between the two leaders was clearly visible.

But, time is the biggest player in politics. Times changed, elections changed and now the turn of Patna Graduate MLC elections has come. This time the character of the story is the same, but the role seemed reversed. When JDU again fielded Neeraj Kumar, Anant Singh openly showed his attitude against him. He announced his support to Anuj Singh instead of Neeraj Kumar. Anant Singh's message was also very clear - whoever opposed us, we will also oppose him. He asked his supporters to stand with Anuj Singh.

Just then, the stir within JDU intensified. For the party, this matter was not just a resentment between two leaders, but became a controversy with a direct impact on the electoral equation. After this, an important meeting was called on the initiative of State President Umesh Kushwaha. All eyes were on whether Anant Singh would come to the meeting or not and if he did, what would he say. Anant Singh definitely reached the meeting, but the real twist came after this. The meeting ended and Anant Singh did not talk to the media. Neither any attack, nor any counterattack, nor the same attitude as before. His silence definitely raised questions. Did his attitude soften due to party pressure? Has the controversy been put to an end? Or did Anant Singh consider it better to remain silent and make political moves for the time being? The answer to these questions is not clear yet.

On the other hand, Minister Shravan Kumar described the meeting as very good and denied any resentment in JDU. He said that the strategy to win the elections was discussed and the party is completely united. Neeraj Kumar also gave the same message. He said that if Anant Singh was angry then why would he have come to the meeting. According to him, now the party will fight the elections unitedly.

That is, the picture is the same at the moment – ​​first the protest, then the announcement of support, then the party meeting and now Anant Singh's silence. Neeraj Kumar has been MLC thrice and this time too is JDU candidate. In such a situation, the party does not want to allow any internal conflict to reach the electoral arena. Time will decide whether Anant Singh has really bowed down to Neeraj Kumar or it is just political silence. But it is certain that the controversy which had created a spark within JDU, seems to be getting watered down after the meeting. Sometimes silence in politics is more powerful than statements and this silence of Anant Singh has now become the biggest question in Patna politics.
